SECURITY CLEARANCE - SECRET - Required

The Database Administrator will support the database infrastructure of a complex scheduling and learning management system and other informational databases for military and civil flight training programs. Joining a globally diverse teams in support of multiple programs of instructions, you will be responsible for monitoring and tuning database performance and assuring data integrity and security. You will be involved in the planning and development of queries and reports, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. You will work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Database Administration
  • Manage and perform SQL database maintenance functions
  • Build reports and queries
  • Under general direction, plan complex computerized databases, including base definition, structure, capacity, documentation, long-range requirements, high availability and disaster recovery, operational guidelines, and protection.
  • Debug code and profile system performance to troubleshoot functional and non-functional issues.
  • Provide limited support as a Server Administrator
  • Provide on-site IT Help Desk support to the TSSC staff, students, and Instructors
Project Execution
  • Function as Project Lead on assigned projects related to integrated training systems
  • Provide support to the TSSC Manager on all operational matters
Customer Interaction
  • Provide Liaison / SME duties to sub-contractors, customers, and the parent company on all DoD Scheduling issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/Military experience, 2 to 4 years with BS/BA, or 8 to 10 years with High School Diploma experience in SQL Server Administration
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and later
  • Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL)
  • Basic understanding of AWS Cloud
  • Basic programming knowledge involving Java, HTML, Power BI, and Excel
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Military / Aviation training experience in ARTS, and GTIMS.
  • Experience with training management and learning management systems
SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must have or be eligible to obtain Secret Clearance

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
