ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for the ongoing functions related to facilities management in support of our datacenter (BSH) operations. Responsibilities include the ongoing care and maintenance of critical datacenter facilities including PM’s, upgrades, documentation, security, emergency response, vendor management, access management, periodic testing and optimization. This position requires a daily presence at these facilities and at times reacting to issues when or before they arise.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Rapid response to trouble tickets and outages is required. This position shares 7x24 on-call duties with others.
• Be a quality champion of whatever work is being performed.
• Manage your time and the time working on your job sites. Working with others, optimize the work in hand.
• Reporting each day in various tools the work performed, issues found, requirements and experiences. Photographic documentation will be required for some variances and issues.
• Modify design documents (redline markups) when changes occur.
• Need to assist on site at the beginning, end and at key intervals during any jobs that you are responsible for.
• Working with Safety personnel, manage safety on the sites you are working on.
• Interfacing with Procurement, Management, Engineering, Field Staff, Contractors, Site Representatives and others.
• Maintain logs of all work performed providing follow up and consultations as needed.
• Understand, accept, and comply with responsibilities for information security
• Take due care to maintain information security at work and whilst teleworking
• Positive participation in information security training Acknowledge that use of information and systems may be logged
• Report all information security incidents, risks, and concerns promptly
• Provide positive support for the achievement of ISMS objectives
• Care and protection of assigned assets e.g., laptops, phones
• Keep authentication details for their accounts secret and confidential

ABOUT YOU

• Power Systems: Familiarity with maintaining, metering, basic electrical knowledge, or aptitude to learn. Some backup UPS systems and gen sets knowledge. Most maintenance is provided by vendors however a knowledge of these systems is essential.
• Building Management Systems: Ability to utilize BMS systems to assist in maintaining datacenters while taking advantage of historical trends and faults.
• Facilities Maintenance: Knowledge of and the ability to assist with any aspect of maintenance be it hands on or through a vendor.
• Familiarity with safe work principles and facilities or datacenter best practices.
• Ability to provide expert guidance to others.
• Ability to identify lapses in quality and resolve either internally or via vendor support.
• Ability to document or assist in documentation of work being done.
• Familiarity with structured cabling within facilities or within a datacenter environment.
• OSHA certification will be provided.
