About us:

We are a small, in-home childcare program and our goal is to create a safe, positive and natural environment for young children to learn and thrive.

Our learning program, located on W 11th Ave near the fairgrounds, is looking for a gifted and loving early childhood educator to join our small family oriented learning environment! The preschool offers a Reggio Emilia and Waldorf inspired education to serve children 12 months to 4.5 year olds. The ideal candidate will possess a loving approach to learning coupled with a nurturing attitude, making them the perfect addition to our educational team. In addition to teaching young ones, a Preschool Teacher may also be required to create lesson plans, activities and crafts as well as assist with toileting routine and mealtimes.

Responsibilities:

• Show up on time with positive energy.
• Assist children with potty, diapering, and eating.
• Communicate with parents.
• Be able to teach children in a group and individually.
• Be flexible to change as our daily schedule may vary.
• Work in a creative and educational family environment.
• Be able to take on new challenges easily.
• Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting classrooms to ensure a healthy environment.

Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid
• Already Accepted or Has Begun Process of Oregon Criminal Background Registry (provide registry number)
• Safety Set Trainings
• Experience with young children OR Educational Background studying Early Childhood Education

Preferred:

• Bilingual in any language is a huge plus!
• Experience with art education
• Experience in Waldorf and/ or Reggio Emilia philosophies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
