Distribution Center Point Guard

Shift: Saturday-Monday 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

Saturday-Monday 6:00PM-6:00AM

Tuesday - Friday 5:00PM-3:30AM

Hourly Rate: $25.00

A Point Guard is a ‘peer influencer’ who is skilled to serve as the Help Chain if assigned and assists in training other Athletes. They are naturally curious and driven to solve problems. They have a clear understanding of the full end-to-end process flow and thinks holistically about solutions that benefit the distribution center as a whole by being responsible for base line material handling functions with additional emphasis on increased technical skills, project leadership, intra-and inter-departmental coordination, and data analysis up to and including responsibility for daily results of a work area, not merely a single area. As the Help Chain, they assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement. In addition, they are a highly skilled communicator and educator, assisting with on-the-job training and functional development of Athletes. They are a consistent contributor and a team player who can give and receive feedback to/from all levels. As in basketball, the Point Guard at ADAPT is an Athlete and a member of the team who supports their peers as they work together as a team. The Point Guard is an Athlete who is trained to perform the highest level operational tasks, and is deployed to the role of Point Guard for a given day. This is a rotating role, so an Athlete deployed to Point Guard one day may or may not be Point Guard the next.

Nike Distribution Centers

• Minimum requirement 5-7 years warehouse experience

• Experience successfully leading a project or team
• Cross-departmental communication skills
• Experience using the warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to flex to the work needed, moving from one area of the building to another throughout the day, should the business need arise
• Will work overtime based on business needed
