Position Overview

The De-Manufacturing Logistician must be familiar with classified safeguarding practices while performing work on contracts, programs and development efforts in accordance with The National Industrial Security Program (NISP). This position will dispose of classified information technology equipment; maintain all records, logs and reports; and ensure all equipment is processed through the sanitization process in accordance with applicable rules, regulations and standards. This position requires the ability to constructively engage and resolve challenging situations.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain equipment accountability through each step of the process, verifying and re verifying that each component is being handled per requirements

  • De-manufacturing of all components of IT equipment

  • Material separation per rules, regulations and applicable standards

  • HAZMAT separation and handling per rules and regulations

  • Transporting equipment in and out of storage as required

  • Transporting HAZMAT and Recycling materials to respective approved disposal Vendors

  • Maintain Two-Person Integrity (TPI) throughout the destruction process

  • Maintain a high level of Attention to Detail during material handling process

  • Identify and report potential process improvements

  • Hold peers and subordinates accountable to P2 SHRED Standards

  • Execute P2 SHRED processes according to Site/Project SOP

  • Complete Basic Security Professional Development

Required Skills (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Knowledge of the NISPOM and other related security regulations

  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills; demonstrating an ability to communicate, interact easily and effectively with a wide variety of individuals and echelons in both written and verbal forms

  • Manage and maintain detailed information and documentation

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literate

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more

  • Independent self-starter, proactive and professional assertive

  • Must be professionally organized

  • Available to work before/after typical office hours

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Adjusting and moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time

  • Repeating motions that include the wrist, hands, fingers

  • Operating machinery and/or power tools

  • Occasionally may need to: ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or similar; move self in different position in various environments including tight/confined spaces; move from one worksite to another; operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment

  • Works outdoors often; may occasionally work in environments with low or high temperatures and noisy environments

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned

Clearance

  • TS with collateral and other SCI (desired) and/or SAP eligibility

Years of Experience/Education Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience. 3-7 years of related experience preferred

  • Minimum of HS diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred

Travel Requirements

  • Local Travel (DMV)

  • Ability to travel outside of DMV
