The Dean of Students will lead the campus in engaging students and cultivating opportunities for academic and personal achievement through service, education, advocacy, and community building. Provide structure and resources to prepare students to become productive citizens and assume roles of leadership and service in a global society. Foster lifelong service and civic participation of students by engaging the University with its greater community in action, change, and leadership. Promote multicultural and diversity affairs to promote awareness, understanding of differences, collaboration of cross-culture groups, and to foster a sense of communal relationship among all students. Provide leadership to employees to assist students in their personal development by providing programs and initiatives that educate, motivate, and challenge them to become leaders in a global society. Provide on-going programs that support new students and families in their transition to Keiser University by providing a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere; connecting students to university resources and people; acquainting students with institutional values and expectations; promoting learning and discovery both inside and outside the classroom, and fostering student pride in the Seahawk Nation. Provide leadership in promoting and sustaining a safe and secure campus. Provide opportunities to assist students with off-campus life informing them of the rights and responsibilities associated with their pursuit of an enjoyable and safe off-campus living experiences through services and educational opportunities. Lead the Student Life Department in identifying student retention, persistence, satisfaction, success and enrollment goals, targets and provide continuous improvement in those areas. Responsible for conducting and overseeing the analysis of data on the student experience and providing recommendations to the Campus President. Serve as the main University entity that works with students to resolve disciplinary matters in situations where violations of the Student Conduct Code have occurred. Ensure that students receive fair treatment in all hearings. Responsible for reporting incidents tot he appropriate authorities. Responsible for the safe and comfortable accommodations of residential students. Oversee the Campus Student Government Association (SGA) and all other student groups on campus. Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus President. This is a full time position that requires day, evening and weekend availability. Demonstrate excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in dealing with parents, students, faculty, staff, professional colleagues, and community agencies. Be able to work accurately and efficiently in a multi-tasking, student focused office.
