The Opportunity

This role calls for an individual who can deliver excellent customer service while having the ability to demonstrate empathy care to grieving customers. This specialist role is for someone who is in banking and looking to specialize or someone in customer service looking to get into banking and explore different areas. This position will work with all aspects of the bank such as Trust, IRAs, Account Maintenance, Legal, etc. If you are detailed oriented, caring individual, we are looking for you!

Please Note: Shift is Monday through Friday 11am to 8pm CST.

The Work Itself

  • Serve as a primary contact for the resolution of cases involving the disposition of deposits involving deceased account holders.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely handling of all claims, maintenance requests, account openings and account closures.
  • Interaction with the Customer Contact Center, Ally Bank customers, as well as non-customers.
  • Interaction with Loss Prevention Team on suspicious transactions
  • Interaction with various departments within operations to remediate customer issues and discover solutions for case resolution
  • Contribute to process improvement and procedure updates as needed

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ years of Customer Service Exp required.
  • 1+ years of retail banking highly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Be challenge driven, goal oriented and capable of handling emergency or crisis situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong Windows based PC skills required.
