Purpose & Description of Position

Delivery drivers are responsible for accurately delivering product using company provided vehicles to our clients and company retail locations at scheduled intervals throughout the day. As the driver is one of the primary points of contact between the Company and our customer, drivers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, maintain a neat appearance in accordance with company dress code requirements and deliver exceptional customer service. Must have valid driver's licence.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibility #1: Product Delivery

Driver shall make product deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner to our clients and retail stores. Driver shall adhere to delivery schedules provided by the company to ensure consistent service levels to all customers. Driver is responsible for verifying the accuracy of each delivery by checking each item delivered against the appropriate invoice/document and immediately reporting any discrepancies to their supervisor. Driver is expected to communicate route status via 2-way radio.

Measurement- Completion of delivery run(s) & stops within allotted times. Customer feedback shall also be monitored to ensure service levels are maintained.

Responsibility #2: Product handling

Driver is required to accurately load, unload, sort, and transport tires and other products on a daily basis. Driver will also be required to handle and transport tire casings (used tires) from our customers and return them to specified company locations on a frequent basis. Products may be required to be counted and documented accurately for proper billing to our customers.

Measurement- Supervisor shall ensure tasks are completed upon request.

Responsibility #4: Vehicle Maintenance

Driver shall be assigned a daily vehicle checklist to ensure that company vehicles are kept clean and in good working order. Driver shall refuel vehicle(s) as needed using company-approved fuel card and submit receipts on a daily basis to supervisor.

Measurement- Supervisor shall review checklist on a daily basis and inspect vehicles at random.

Responsibility #4: Any additional duties assigned by management

Due to the competitive and rapidly changing sales environment, driver may be asked to performed additional duties and tasks not described above.
