Bob Evans Farms operates in multiple convenience foods categories within grocery and club. It holds #1 market positions in three major categories. This winning brand has been experiencing strong growth, a trend it's expecting to continue mostly through its leadership in the refrigerated dinner and breakfast categories. Bob Evans Farms products are distributed nationally in retailers throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
- Create and communicate statistical forecasts to drive operations and planning:
- Gather, analyze and validate data
- Execute statistical modeling software
- Review resulting statistical forecast model
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
- Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand and incorporate critical factors including promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, new/lost distribution, pricing, etc.
- Bridge forecast changes from month to month, while also explaining gaps to the Original Plan, Prior Year and previous month’s forecast
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Present and lead meetings explaining forecast assumptions and attain consensus across multiple customers
- Assist in administration & maintenance of data
- Maintain statistical models and parameters within SAP/IBP forecasting softwareReview, understand, and communicate forecast accuracy
- Achieve metrics on KPI’s such as item forecast accuracy and forecast bias
- All other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or related field.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Oracle, SAP and IBP preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
