Job Purpose: Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, the Staff Dentist will examine patients, obtain medical history and develop treatment plan. Provide dentistry services such as cleanings, root canals, extractions, fillings, bridges, crowns, dentures, and other oral services. Educate patients about oral hygiene and preventative oral care. Ensure in compliance with OSHA and dental board procedures. Stay abreast with latest developments in dentistry field. Work with clinic staffs to provide quality patient care services. Address clinical issues promptly and accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold & maintain a current, valid & unrestricted DDS or DMD license.
• Hold and maintain a current DEA permit.
• Commitment to quality patient care, excellent customer service, and to educating patients on dental health.
• Must be competent in all areas of restorative dentistry, including crown, bridge, anterior/posterior composites, porcelain on lays and implant restorations.
• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Prior work in IHS, Tribal/Urban clinics or VA, a plus.
• Experience working in an Electronic Dental Record (EDR) a plus.
• Must be CPR certified or attend a SCIHP CPR training to become certified.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical and background check investigation.
• Must have proof of completed COVID vaccinations.

Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community, which includes their culture traditions, and background.
