Job description

This is a full-time position, 40 hrs/week in the Columbia County Clerk of Court Office. Responsibilities will primarily relate to traffic, DNR, criminal traffic and ordinance cases and will include clerking in the courtroom and counter assistance in the office. Other back-up duties will vary as assigned including criminal, financial, and calendar matters.Required to meet one of the following: Associate Degree from an accredited vocational, college or technical school in bookkeeping, accounting, secretarial sciences, or business law and a minimum of two (2) years of responsible office experience, or High School diploma or its equivalent supplemented by post high school course work with at least two (2) semesters in bookkeeping, accounting, business law, or secretarial sciences at a vocational, college, technical school, or on-line course and a minimum of two (2) years of responsible office experience. Computer experience required. Hire rate: $19.974 (2023 rate) per hour. Columbia County also offers a temporary COVID-19 premium payment of $100 per month.
