NetCentrics has an exciting opportunity to migrate Veteran Administration (VA) hardware, operating systems, applications, and other elements of its IT infrastructure from IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4) to IPv6. To accomplish this task, NetCentrics is looking for experienced IT professionals to provide technical, engineering and guidance to support the critical transition from IPv4 to IPv6.

To ensure the success of our mission, we are seeking technical experts to support all phases from documentation, configuration, inventory management, remediations, security, network monitoring, desk support, testing, training, migration, and strategic planning in both test and real-world environments.

The migration will ensure the design and integration of IPv6 technology across VA on-premises core infrastructure, network operations, support desks, and security systems, as well as VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) where applicable.

Responsibilities:

• Leads teams (remote and local) performing the management and implementation of enterprise application components, and ensure technical solutions solve the business problem as an organic part of the organization's operational and functional baseline
• Manages teams in developing application and technical plans
• Manages enterprise applications integration efforts and oversee the validation of associated work products
• Utilize industry accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management operations
• Provide technical support in system architecture, system design, system integration and technical management
• Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process
• Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic plans and products through education and guidance, first-sue and tuning assistance problem solving and critical situational resolution
• Focus in a specific product or technology family on multiple platforms, which is supplemented with a clear understanding of the business requirements and related applications issues
• Support technical strategies that will improve productivity across functional areas within the organization
• Assist in the planning, directing and managing of the contract effort
• Assist in the management and supervision employees of various labor categories and skills
• Assist in the planning, directing, and managing of IT projects/operations
• Educate others regarding product-specific best practices
• Constant collaboration and coordination with customer to support current and emergent needs/opportunities
• Provide work direction and guidance to other personnel; ensure accuracy of the work of other personnel, operates under deadlines

Requirements:

• Master's degree preferred
• Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred)
• Technical program management (10 years minimum) in systems or network engineering
• Experience with leading teams in the fielding of IT systems, networks, hardware and software of both a simple and complex nature
• Excellent communications, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical background in cloud, infrastructure, or application development
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
