This position is responsible for building strong relationships with donors, institutional foundations, and strategic donors via consistent communication, maintaining all aspects of donor software databases, executing fundraising campaigns, and pursuing grant opportunities for the Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains database and assures the integrity of the database through maintenance of the data, including deleting duplicate records and use of appropriate coding
  • Assist in all fundraising drives and peer to peer fundraising activities
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals to funding sources and other Foundations
  • Participate in identifying new funding sources for existing and new initiatives to support and enhance the agency’s mission
  • Collaborate with grant writer in recording and tracking status of grant applications
  • Collaborate with events planner, PR and marketing personnel

Maintain list of organizational strategies and infrastructure needs

  • Responsible for processing all gifts and assuring the timely acknowledgement of them to the donor
  • Assists and is responsible for the accuracy of all mailing lists and participates in sending donor mailings
  • Assists in the wealth screening of potential donors in order to develop briefing information reports and manage the pipeline
  • Responsible for screening daily admission reports
  • Responsible for the importing of public information from EMR to database
  • Provides administrative support (ex. invoice processing, departmental mailings, supply orders, meeting coordination, etc.)
  • Assists with special events tasks as necessary
  • Assists the department with data and information to support cultivation of new major donor prospects, stewardship of existing donors and implementation of strategies to generate gift upgrades and renewals
  • Assists the Executive team in creating tailored correspondence, thank you letters and other communication materials for donors
  • Maintains confidentiality of information; abides by HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain a database of constituents, including but not limited to – gift processing and entry, segmenting of donors, donor recognition, reporting and analysis, list management, and donor management (ex: entry of relationships, plans, contact reports and relevant notes)
  • Prepare and organize timely donor communication including direct mail, e-appeals, gift acknowledgements and acknowledgment letters
  • Handle donor inquiries and correspondence via mail, phone, email and in-person
  • Work with the finance team to manage, reconcile, and track various types of donations including recurring donations, in-kind gifts, honor/memorial gifts and matching gifts
  • Assist with coordinating special events and donor/sponsorship cultivation efforts
  • Conduct research on prospects as potential sources of private funds
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must embrace the mission and core values of WVNS Group
  • Proven ability to achieve established goals as a member of a fundraising team, a in a non-profit healthcare setting
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Mobile Cause
  • Experience in the creation of materials for solicitation purposes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with website applications, database management, donor software and research tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two years of experience in fundraising for healthcare organization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
