Position: Developmental Specialist

Department: Developmental Services

Location: Boston

Salary Range: Post from base to mid-point

The Developmental Specialist is an important member of the team delivering Goodwill’s mission services to individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. The Developmental Specialist provides direct care services to individuals in Goodwill’s programs and is responsible for preparing and maintaining documentation in accordance with Medicaid regulations.

The incumbent works directly with program participants in Goodwill’s Day Habilitation Program, which operate on a standard Monday to Friday schedule. The Developmental Specialist develops curriculum, and plans and leads individual and group activities, while monitoring, assessing, and providing training to program participants as needed. The Developmental Specialist prepares documentation of services and outcomes relative to the individual’s service and behavioral plans, including writing assessments, objectives, and progress reports.

The position reports to the Program Manager and works in close coordination with others on the team.

The minimum requirements for this position include:

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or an associate’s degree and two years of related experience.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.

· Acceptable results of CORI check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 - $23.50 per hour
