JOB TITLE: DG ANALYTICS LEAD

REPORTS TO: DER Program Manager

POSITION STATUS: EXEMPT, NON-BARGAINING UNIT

POSITION OVERVIEW: This DG Analytics Position will provide oversight to manage the data provided by the DG Group. The position will champion the value of data related to Distributed Generation. This individual will also be the focal point of interaction for the various departments that utilize the data DG provides, and will understand the business processes that retrieve, support, or require the data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison for data needs between other departments and DG
  • Understand and ensure that all DG data tracked is compliant with the Maine Public Utilities Commission Chapter 324 (Small Generator Interconnection Procedures), accurate, accessible and utilized by other departments.
  • Develop, improve and monitor data metrics for DG
  • Assist in any financial needs by the DG team, including but not limited to invoicing, expensing, reconciliation of and reporting on DG projects
  • Work with internal business leaders to understand department data needs as related to distributed generation
  • Query data, prepare reports and aid in DG analytics as requested by internal and external stakeholders, including any regulatory data needs
  • Maintain information applications/databases and sustain and improve with industry technology developments
  • Participate on projects related to DG data, serving as an operations/business area Subject Matter Expert for data gathering, business process discussion and other project meetings as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, including designated duties associated with System Restoration

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or similar field preferred
  • Knowledge of utility concepts
  • Understanding of utility business processes and industry trends related to DG data and related systems
  • Knowledge of IT networks, customer operations, policies, procedures, standards, tools, technology and systems environment preferred
  • Ability to provide clear instructions, technical direction, and performance management
  • Experience with data collection, maintenance and complex statistical analysis preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) required, Smartsheet experience preferred.

RATE OF PAY:

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
