The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist supports patient care by performing quality radiology procedures and consistently maintains focus on customer service and safety. Enhances quality by participating in performance improvement. Supports the Radiology department and reports to the Radiology Diagnostic Supervisor.
Performs diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.

Hours: Sat/Sun 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Location: University Kansas Health System – St. Francis (Main Campus)
Accountable for self and self-actions:
Engages in self-evaluation of practice and takes action to improve knowledge and skills.
Promotes consensus building and applies techniques of conflict resolution and conduct improvement.
Retains accountability for quality of care given to the patient.

Responsibilities
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist supports patient care by performing quality radiology procedures and consistently maintains focus on customer service and safety. Enhances quality by participating in performance improvement. Supports the Radiology department and reports to the Radiology Diagnostic Supervisor.
Performs diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
Demonstrates proper communication skills to ensure positive outcomes.
Supports organization priorities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Provide quality customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 2 year degree or may substitute degree for graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts as a Radiologic Technologist. Registered by the ARRT within 1 yr of graduation or employment.
- Must obtain CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to learn to perform direct patient care, basic nursing procedures. Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients' needs and responses to care.
