As aDiesel Mechanic atFirst Class Travelers A.E,for repairing Motor Coach Buses and other company vehicles diesel and gasoline.

Responsibilities:

• Adjust, repair or overhaul Coach Buses by inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
• Use of various power and hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, latches, welding equipment, jacks and hoists to adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, and Diesel Mechanic equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubricate equipment with Motor Coach Buses
• Test drive Coach Buses to diagnose malfunctions and/or ensure that they’re working properly.
• Inspect, test and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Diagnose, repair and rebuild air supply systems, air suspension and air operated accessory systems.
• Repair and replace axle components
• Diagnose and repair electrical starting and charging systems
• Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong Diesel Mechanic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Diesel Mechanic Minimum Experience:

• Motor Coach BusKnowledge
• Diesel Engine experience
• Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
• CDL preferred but not mandatory
• Bilingual candidates preferred but not mandatory

PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROCESS

The process includes a job-specific pre-employment drug screening to be completed by an industrial health clinic ofFirst Class Travelers A.E.’s choice; criminal background and references will also be performed. All offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of the pre-employment process.
