Job description
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; and keeping records.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Performing vehicle maintenance including: hydraulics, air brakes, steering and suspension, lighting, electric, diesel engine, air conditioning, fluid levels and oil changes, and general repairs and maintenance
- Reconditions and replacing parts
- May weld and cut parts using arc-welding and flame cutting equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and equipment
- Completing maintenance logs and work orders
Must have a H.S. Degree/GED and at least 1 year experience..
Must be available nights and weekends.
