Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the quality of service delivery during meal service and compliance with special diets offered by the community.

Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Takes beverage and food orders, delivers food, clears, cleans, sanitizes, and resets tables.

2. Makes every expected effort to maintain resident satisfaction.

3. Resolves dining challenges with residents before the conclusion of the meal service.

4. Maintains a clean dining room including all equipment, walls, tabletops and bases, and chairs. Linens are changed as needed. Tabletop condiments and salt and pepper shakers are kept full and clean.

5. Washes and sanitizes dishware.

6. Ensures that they are working in a safe manner and that potential safety risks are communicated to the Food Services Director and/or Executive Director.

7. Good attendance.

8. Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or other customer service-related fields preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements:

• Must obtain Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulation).
• Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Essential Skills:

• Must be self-motivated and have a strong customer service-oriented work ethic.
• Pleasant, professional, and personable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
