• 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• Certified Dietary Manager Certification Preferred

Primary Function:

Assists the Director of Nutrition Service in the overall management of the Nutritional Services Department in accordance with current applicable federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations as directed by the Director of Nutrition Service. Oversees the effective operation of enhanced dining.

• Trainer of all new department employees and assist in their development
• Transcribes prescribed meal patterns to individual resident menus
• Generates menus, updates extension list daily, and checks for accuracy
• Generate daily production schedules
• Records diet changes in the computer system
• Enters individual resident information into the department computer system
• Generates department work schedules
• Coordinates workflow through individual job assignment
• Assists in purchasing of all nutritional services food and non-food inventory
• Assists in monitoring tray line accuracy
• Assists in the storing and rotating of all nutritional services food and non-food inventory in proper storage areas
• Compliance with federal and state laws
• Compliance with federal conditions of participation and state licensure rules
• Assists in the provision of special meals for special functions, employees and visitors
• Assists in the development of Dietary policy
• Assists in the development of the Dietary Department budget, financial planning and capital plan
• Assists in Dietary Department purchasing
• Assists in the development of the Dietary Department budget and financial planning
• Participates in the Dietary Quality Insurance Program
• All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nutritional Services
