Job description
This position is part of the Community Health/Outpatient Diabetes & Nutrition Department. Will provide both diabetes and nutrition education with a community/public health focus to include pediatrics to adulthood, with diverse diagnoses to include weight management, diabetes, food allergies, pregnancy, etc. This position includes individual and group instruction for weight loss, diabetes and pre-diabetes; metabolism testing, along with potential grant-related projects. Community outreach, with health fairs, medical staff education and community public speaking engagements. Collaborates with clinical dietetic team to maintain high standards and provide innovative programs. Daily travel required to outlying clinics/areas.Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition/Dietetics required. NC Dietitian license required. CDE Certification or eligibility preferred. Must obtain CDE certification within 2 years of hire date. Strong computer skills needed.
