Reporting to the Assistant Director, Digital Communications, this role will support the execution of digital communications, including video editing, website updates, blog posts, email blasts, and social media content. This role will also serve as an administrator for Merlin, our Digital Asset Management tool. This position will provide project management, basic design, writing, and light administrative support for digital communications to donors of Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital Stanford and the child and maternal health programs at the Stanford University School of Medicine. This position will play an active and important role in ongoing efforts to engage and thank our donor community through storytelling.
Due to Covid-19, employees of LPFCH (Lucile Packard Foundation for Children s Health) are currently working remotely, with the expectation of returning to the office within the next few months (subject to extensions as circumstances warrant). Once the office reopens, employees will transition to a hybrid work model. Please note that LPFCH has a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and that all new employees must submit proof of their Covid-19 vaccination and booster vaccines at the time their employment commences. Alternatively, prior to commencing employment, new employees may request approval for accommodation for an exemption to the policy as permitted by law.

GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate on deploying digital content such as social media, blog posts, videos, and email blasts to increase giving and participation across fundraising programs; contribute both creative partnership and technical expertise to execute these communications.
  • Assist in coordinating, shooting, and editing videos to engage and steward donors.
  • Make website edits and upload blog content, including editing or creating images and graphics as needed for web use.
  • Contribute effective and timely social media communications to show the impact of philanthropy and increase visibility of fundraising programs such as annual giving, third-party fundraising, community events, and other ways to give.
  • Assist in monitoring, reporting, and assessing social media channels / content analytics.
  • Catalog and maintain an extensive library of images and other assets for Foundation-wide use in Merlin, our Digital Asset Management system.
  • Recommend new approaches, procedures, and processes to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships via email, phone, and in person with hospital staff and faculty, donors, and patient families, and maintain confidentiality when needed.
  • On an as-needed basis, provide light administrative support to the Development Communications team.
  • Adhere to Foundation style guide, ensuring materials produced are high-quality and error-free.
