Geek Powered Studios is an Austin-based full service digital marketing agency, and we are looking for an agency-seasoned Account Manager. The starting salary range for this role is 55-70K DOE.

What you’ll do
You will be their primary point of contact for our clients from their initial onboarding through their ongoing maintenance. Our AM team responds to tickets, leads regular cadence calls, oversees projects, provides education, and assists with identifying strategic initiatives. This role is about building relationships and solving problems. We are looking for creativity, empathy, and the desire to do the right thing.
In this role, you will often be called upon to provide technical support to customers or to provide training on our services. You will need to be comfortable speaking about all aspects of digital marketing. Our Digital Strategist will help to set the overall strategy, but you should be able to speak to it by discussing metrics and account performance.
Responsibilities
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders – you’ll lead your clients’ cadence calls, schedule their projects, keeping them updated on their progress and performance and ensuring that they are satisfied with their business growth
- Respond to client questions and requests while ensuring that each account is operating within scope and budget
- Proactively monitor customer status, analyze performance, and work with team to achieve goals and KPIs, escalating to the appropriate person/department when needed
- Provide education and help clients achieve a basic understanding of our services, their reports, and digital marketing in general
- Provide campaign updates and ensure that our clients are satisfied with their business growth
- Work proactively, using your independent judgment to ensure we are exceeding expectations
- Maintain minimum retention rate of 95% and NPS scores of 8 or higher
What skills and experience would make you a great fit?
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales, account management, or customer service role – ideally with 1 year including thought leadership, client facing and issue management
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a digital marketing role - Agency experience is required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Thorough understanding of SEO and/or Paid Media (PPC and paid social)
- Solid understanding of and/or hands-on experience in digital marketing and web technologies
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to clearly communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders from assistant level to CEO
- Must be able to successfully work remotely
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship - must be physically located in the US
