Job description
As a Project Manager at Veranex, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through design. Our work centers itself in human centered design and design thinking to better understand end users and the context that surrounds them. We deliver successful results on projects ranging from developing strategies for medical device companies to serve global communities, creating innovative solutions for pharmaceutical companies to better serve patients and healthcare providers, and observing in clinical spaces at hospitals to discover new ways for products and services to meet the needs of users.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for successful planning and execution of all stages of 1-2 product innovation projects ensuring that all project milestones are completed on time and within budget.
Subject matter expert for resource, budget, project performance databases. Train project managers to independently manage their projects within the system.
Ensure the proper use and training of project management tools including project plans, project documentation and meeting minutes, and budget tracking reports to effectively track and manage projects.
Lead client communications on projects including speaking, writing, leading and participating in ideation sessions, and delivering presentations.
Define and schedule project tasks and interdependencies to achieve the scope as defined in SOW through a clearly defined project plan.
Identify project risks and issues drive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
Provide support and effectively communicate to the team and ensure team members are informed and accountable for executing various project task.
Cultivate a positive team environment and healthy team dynamic ensuring the team develops and maintains a common mission and vision for success throughout the project.
Manage recruitment, screening, scheduling, and confirmation of respondents for human factors studies.
Work with the project team and department leaders to quickly resolve schedule and resource conflicts.
Collaborate with team members across the international locations and departments.
Bachelor’s degree with 3 - 5+ years of project management experience
Experience in medical device development and/or human factors strongly preferred
Strong client-service orientation with the ability to pro-actively recommend or rethink requests based on client needs
Ability to manage multiple qualitative projects accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment where moving deadlines and other changes often occur in real-time
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of project management principles
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, project management software, and tools
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
