Dining Services - Front of House Server (Summer)

Do you like food? Do you like making people happy? If so, join our Dining Services team at Interlochen Arts Camp! We are hiring Front of House Servers for our Camp season - 6/14/23 - 8/9/23. Start and end dates are FLEXIBLE! Scheduling is also FLEXIBLE! Let us know when you can work and we will make it happen. Receive a FREE meal and a FREE ice cream during every shift! Early sign-on bonus and successful completion bonuses are available for $50 each. Hourly rates start at $12/hour. Apply today and join us for a memorable summer! Housing is available for $15/night in a shared living space, if needed, provided you live 40 miles or more from Interlochen. If living on campus, all meals are included as well.
- Provide meals to campers, visitors, and employees in a friendly manner with attention to quality customer service while ensuring all safety and sanitary regulations are followed
- Set up serving lines, counters, salad bars, beverages, and hot wells for all meals
- Keep the dining area neat, clean, and orderly at all times throughout and in between the meal periods
- Serve the customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Keep the salad bar area fully stocked and cleaned
- Be familiar with what ingredients are in the food that is being offered, identifying if there are dairy or nuts in the food being served
- Be comfortable using equipment including serving utensils, carts, and hand wash buckets

Experience and Skills:
Must be at least 14 years of age upon start date
- Must understand basic safety and sanitation regulations
- Must have hand and finger dexterity to handle serving equipment
- Be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees
- Be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time, sometimes up to 4 hours
- Able to work in hot and humid conditions
- Able to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
Schedules will vary from 10-40 hours per week and are subject to change.
