Who YOU are:

  • Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this critical role focuses on assessing needs, developing learning & development strategy and its delivery. Serving all areas of the Stanford Federal Credit Union in terms of development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs provided to staff members.
  • Oversees planning and concept development for technical training on systems/tools as well as soft skills training for both staff and management.
  • Outsources and/or purchases training programs, after thorough evaluation, when it is in the best interests of the organization.
  • Ensures consistent application of training standards throughout the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in education coordination, curriculum development, training assessment and evaluation.
  • Have bachelor’s degree in adult education or a comparable field of study. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Has the ability to come into our corporate office everyday.
  • Able to communicate with senior managers, employees, trainers from other companies, outside vendors, and professional training group members both verbally and in writing.

What YOU’LL do:

  • Recommends and determines instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, and workshops; selects or develops training aids such as handbooks, operating guides, visual aids, and tutorials. Considers a wide variety of learning mediums and approaches appropriate for adult learners to ensure a productive and successful means of training.
  • Responsible for implementation of new training programs. Assesses training techniques, evaluates training results, and considers process improvement techniques to suggest meaningful modifications to existing training programs.
  • Manages the organizations resources responsibly for training; develops and monitors spending against the budget.
  • Supervises the work of others to include determination of workflows, internal controls, monitoring of work processes, performance evaluation of staff members, initiation of disciplinary actions and salary increase recommendations.
  • Tracks the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback from supervisors; evaluates the effectiveness of the training program.
  • Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
  • Conducts needs assessment studies to determine training programs to be developed and organizational issues to be addressed.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
