Sterling Group Home, a program of LSSI, has full-time (FT) positions available in the Sterling area for Direct Support Persons (DSP). The DSP position assists adult with intellectual developmental disabilities in their own apartment with activities of daily living (ADL) such as meal prep, shopping, laundry along with leisure activities. No experience needed. CNAs and Home Care professionals enjoy picking up PT shifts thanks to our low client to staff ratios! We provide paid training and opportunities for advancement.

Shifts Available:
We offer various shifts, 2nd and 3rd, as well as both Full-Time and Part-Time positions.
2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
3rd shift: 10:30 PM - 8:30 AM

We are unable to offer 1st shift availability.

Essential Functions:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Accompany clients in the community for errands, leisure and other appointments.
• Assist with various housekeeping tasks.
• Assisting clients in reaching their individual hopes and dreams.
• Cooking with easy to follow recipes.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of in-house training.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance preferred.
