Job Description:

Fidelity Brokerage Technology (FBT) is seeking an individual who is looking for an ambitious and exciting opportunity as a Solution Architect to help drive and influence the future of FBT’s capabilities. You work with squad and tribe leaders as well as application development teams to help cultivate innovation, drive standardization and deliver on new technology patterns as well as provide hands-on solutions for pattern reference implementations and other squad support needs (infrastructure, pipeline, test automation).

The Team

You will play a very hands-on role driving the overall technical and solutions architecture within Fidelity Brokerage Technology. You will be responsible for all aspects of the application architecture and security. You will work closely influencing Business Sponsors, Scrum Masters and Peer Architects while driving Fidelity Brokerage Technology’s digital modernization efforts.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 7+ years of industry experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks and languages.

• Proven and extensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security.

• Ability to provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions.

• Understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices.

• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.

• Financial industry experience preferred.

• Certification in AWS cloud-based architecture preferred.

• Experience with containerization strategies and serverless application architectures

• Experience with API Management, domain modeling, policy modeling.

• Software development skills and experience using server-side Java, Node.js, Python.

• Experience with Spring and integration frameworks.

• Experience in Client-Side technologies like HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular.

• Experience in internet security: OAuth, Open ID Connect and related methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of responsive web design and technologies.

• Experience with CI/CD infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform, acceptable CFT) and pipeline as code (Jenkins / Concourse).

• Knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis and test-driven development.

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with Tribe/Squad/Chapter leads and across FBT Architecture

• Strong presentation skills: written and verbal communication including the ability to influence and negotiate resolution of issues and conflicts.

• Solid technical background with a willingness to continually learn and apply knowledge with hands-on development

• Passionate about what you do and are eager to tackle new challenges

• Ensure technology decisions align with architecture standards and strategies
