Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Director, Airbus Value Stream, Wheels & Brakes, this role is accountable for customer satisfaction, full-life cycle performance and P&L management. The Wheels & Brakes portfolio on the Airbus Programs consists of $250M in annual revenue for products and services supporting both Collins and Goodrich-Messier Joint Venture sales on A320, A321, A330, A350 programs and variants, as well as the A321XLR development program.

The Director leads the cross-functional team tasked with executing all commitments to Airbus, including production deliveries, quality, fleet reliability and issue resolution, commercial terms and conditions, aftermarket support and total cost of ownership.

The Director acts as the voice of the customer and drives customer satisfaction, while supporting the business unit’s long-term objectives, and collaborates across functions and levels to deliver improved processes and performance to meet and exceed Airbus plans and expectations. The Director also drives the relationship and contractual execution actions for the Goodrich-Messier Joint Venture.

The Director will also have responsibility for driving program execution excellence across the life cycle of product development by leading the Program Management Office for the Wheel & Brake Value Stream.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of three Value Stream Leaders, accountable for customer satisfaction and P&L results across the full life cycle of the business.
  • Execute the A321XLR Wheel & Brake development and validation, including certification and entry into service for multiple configurations, demonstrating full accountability to internal execution commitments.
  • Lead strategic component product improvement development, commercial negotiation and fleet implementation over the next five years, including customer affinity for the next generation single aisle development.
  • Develop and execute production rate growth at global manufacturing centers and the supply base to keep pace with single aisle program projections.
  • Drive customer affinity with Airbus and key stakeholders on the Airbus legacy platforms, including frequent engagement with Collins Aerospace, Landing Systems and Advanced Structures and Airbus executives.
  • Deliver P&L results to the business.
  • Drive program execution excellence across the Wheel & Brake value stream by leading the Program Management Office, including benchmarking, developing and deploying processes and tools to the cross-functional project teams throughout the life cycle of the product development.
  • Travel required domestically and internationally 25%-30%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with product development in supply chain, engineering, or operations
  • Experience driving process improvements/changes.
  • Microsoft Office Suites Experience
  • Must be U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development program management, risk management and aftermarket experience
  • Experience delivering product or industrial performance, fleet implementation and financial results.
  • Experience building customer relationships via external or internal.

The salary range for this role is 165,000 USD - 331,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
