As a Director, Data Platform, your work at Tegria will focus on driving fundamental change in revenue cycle with the mission of attaining a “system” that benefits patient experience and is simpler, smarter, and more financially productive for providers.

We’re looking for a kind, effective leader to take on a key data platform leadership role to propel our technology strategy to the next level. You’ll partner with our analytics team and application engineering team to build and manage our next-generation data platform using Databricks lake house architecture with Azure tools and technologies. This is a full-time remote position.

The role you play

An effective Director, Data Platform will help the organization on a whole achieve success through:

• Embracing our audacious vision to humanize each healthcare experience

• Designing scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform data from leading EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, and Meditech that will help drive analytics, workflow, and automation use cases
• Partnering closely with our EHR Integration, Analytics, Application Engineering, and Product teams to drive a cohesive vision and strategy
• Managing a small but mighty team of data engineers and DBAs who build and manage cloud based and on-prem database systems
• Protecting confidential information with security best practices
• Optimizing cloud based and on prem databases (MS SQL) for performance, availability, and data protection
• Managing legacy data infrastructure and play a key role in our go to cloud strategy

What we’re looking for

We expect:

• You have successfully led a group of data engineers and DBAs
• You have technical experience in Data Bricks (Spark) or other cloud-based data platforms with hands on experience writing pipelines in Python and SQL
• Exceptional communication skills - you can clearly articulate the big picture and get into the gritty details of technical solutions
• Strong experience with data modelling with experience in Kimball, Inman, or Data Vault
• You think like an owner by considering the greatest good, continually innovate for the future, and jump in on any project big or small

We’d love to see:

• Bachelors’ Degree preferred
• An understanding of Revenue Cycle related data elements and relationships is a huge bonus
