Position Summary
The Director of Enterprise IT Quality Assurancer directs and oversees the work of a team that tests and evaluates in-house and third-party software. They are responsible for managing technical and operational components of the IT verification and validation program focusing on our core Kidney Health Management platform, Compass, other data intensive internal systems and integration between these and external systems. They monitor and measure the overall quality of IT services.

Responsibilities
The role is hands-on, cross functional, and works closely with the Product, Clinical QA, Development, and other Technology groups. Candidate is responsible for Computer System Validations in modern cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and work with project managers, QA testers, and development analysts/engineers to test products that are developed with an agile methodology.

Establish and maintain strategic aspects of the company’s acceptance validation program
  • Implement a risk-based testing approach for system validation in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Oversee the design of test plans and strategies and the development and maintenance of testing tools.
  • Establish acceptable standards for quality assurance metrics and ensure that tested systems support organizational goals and strategy.
  • Establish and track useful operational metrics for use in reducing defects, improving services and support optimizing the Client implementation process.
  • Collaborate with IT and company leadership to support quality and operational initiatives related to software validation and delivery.
  • Maintain system validation traceability using appropriate tools ex. Jira
  • Provide direction to the User Acceptance Validation group around best practices and continuous improvement.
Support continuous improvement of company processes and standards
  • Collaborate with operational and engineering leadership to identify, prioritize, and lead improvement initiatives related to computer system compliance and performance.
  • Facilitate reporting, tracking and resolution of quality issues, including support of root cause analysis and identification of appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
Supervise the IT QA team
  • Maintain and develop an effective organization through the selection, training, and mentoring of employees.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators to monitor team performance and develop strategies to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned staff to ensure department goals and training are achieved.
  • Evaluate department hierarchy to support the continued growth of the department and enhancement of employee satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree a plus, but not required
  • 10+ years of healthcare-related experience in IT Quality, IT validation, IT risk management and IT change management with substantial hands-on computer system validation experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with people management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated capability to select and execute optimal IT validation methods and techniques for obtaining results consistent with business goals
  • Experience in data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Experience in reviewing computer system validation artifacts, including system and user requirements, validation scripts and traceability matrix and design specifications
  • Experience in writing and executing documentation for all aspects of the IT validation deliverables (IT related compliance/validation plans, test protocols, validation summary reports and compliance/validation reports)
  • Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Per Healthmap’s HR Security Policy, this position is considered HY (high risk for PHI and may require additional training/screening)
Skills
  • Experience with Automated testing tools such as Selenium and Load Testing tools such as Load Runner or JMeter
  • Agile SDLC experience
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • An action-oriented personality with an entrepreneurial mindset who can inspire and motivate a cross-functional team in an evolving environment and communicate with people at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work with peers in a team environment and an excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute
  • Detail Oriented, superior analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Superior written and verbal communications, executive presence, presentation, and interpersonal skills
