We're looking for someone to join our team as a Director, Environmental Services who:

Provides system support and direction for environmental services, including ensuring the delivery of quality Environmental Services (EVS), Linen and Laundry and Waste Management (Solid Waste/Bio-Hazardous Waste/Hazardous Waste). Will serve as content expert to support and partner with all sites and ensure all TJC and other state, local and federal regulatory requirements are met and/or exceeded. Assures compliance and monitors environmental maintenance requirements and facility conditions.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists and supports the sites in developing system wide environmental services and linen budgets.
  • Monitors Sodexo Service Delivery and Quality Management across the system to ensure compliance and quality outcomes. Monitors and oversees system wide expenses related to costs such as supplies and equipment to meet and/or exceed financial objectives. Leads and facilitate Quarterly Business meetings with Sodexo and AH System Staff to ensure KPI's are met/exceeded across the enterprise. Monitors Linen usage across the AH system and shares data monthly/quarterly/annually with sites to review opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. Develops processes and systems to improve linen utilization and expenses. In partnership with Sodexo develops and creates a Quality Assurance Program that includes but is not limited to Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly inspections of all In-Patient/Out-Patient Medical Center areas. Reviews and works with staff to enforce Adventist Healthcare/Sodexo EVS-Linen Policies and procedures. Upholds the vision and mission of Adventist Healthcare with all staff and contractors. Creates and maintains a positive work environment of open communication with our partners and internal AH staff. Ensures compliant and appropriate education and training is developed and administered for all EVS/Linen staff. Is accountable and responsible for ensuring all vendor/partner activities are compliant and value add to AH. Leads operational performance improvement initiatives and engages in professional development activities. Ability to manage and understand Supply/Demand issues associated with Linen and Laundry. Develops processes and standardization of good Patient Linen Handling techniques. Develops processes and best practices of Sterile/Clean Room protocols as it relates to the OR/Birth Center and Special Procedure Rooms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to make presentations, lead teams, analyze data, and prepare reports. Directs and motivates Partners and staff. Conducts routine site visits with Partners and internal AH staff throughout the AH system to ensure a safe and clean environment is routinely maintained. Solicits input from site leadership and the EVS/Linen staff during site visits to determine and proactively monitor issues and satisfaction.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred

Work Experience:


  • Five years experience: Preferred
  • Five years leadership experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:


  • Housekeeping Manager Certification: Preferred

The estimated base pay for this position is $108,913 to $163,369. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
