Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Director Financial Planning and Analysis, to lead Financial Planning function including the ongoing review and analysis of financial performance.

Director FPN&A Overview:
The Director, Financial Planning is responsible for the budget and forecast of Sun Country Airlines. This role will also guide the financial analysis of current operations and make recommendations for actions and initiatives to improve profitability.
Essential roles and responsibilities of a Director FPN&A:
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Develop and distribute P&L, revenue, and cost forecasts.
- Lead the financial analysis of current lines of business and the production of management reports. Make recommendations to improve operational efficiency, service, and profitability.
- Prepare presentations and analysis for the SCA Board of Directors.
- Work with departments to improve profitability by identifying and implementing improved analysis methodologies, process, procedures, and management tools.
- Coordinate FP&A support of all general and administrative departments (HR, Finance, Legal, etc.)
- Assist with prioritization of programs and projects requiring investment of resources.
- Responsible for maintenance and improvements to the company’s financial budgeting and planning tool(s)
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial results review packages and lead senior leadership financial reviews on monthly basis
- Prepare quarterly Finance Update packages for Board of Directors
- Ensure accuracy of all financial and statistical data included in financial reporting
- Coordinate preparation of analytics used to support MD&A and flux analyses used to prepare the company’s public filings
- Lead a team of FP&A staff consisting of the Manager of Financial Planning and various financial analysts/senior financial analysts. Provide mentoring, coaching, guidance, and planning to the same.

- Manager, Financial Planning (direct)
- 2-3 individual contributors (financial analysts and/or senior financial analysts) (indirect)
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Working Location: This position is open in Minneapolis, MN
The qualifications we are looking for in a Director FPN&A include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or analytical field,
- Seven or more years’ experience in an analytical role, preferably in a financial planning and analysis position
- Three plus years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent PC skills with experience in MS Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management.
- Analytical, detailed-oriented, and deadline driven.
The qualifications are a plus!
- MBA or CPA
- Experience in the airline industry, preferably including FP&A.
