Position Summary
Passenger flights to and from Crystal Cruises vessels provide peace of mind while planning travels, therefore Crystal Cruises is committed to ensuring guest are provided with internal resources to leverage for their ease and comfort whilst booking with Crystal Cruises. The Global Air Programs Director will be responsible for the overall operations of air/sea guest and crew joining Crystal vessels. Overall responsibilities, include but not limited to
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assess and implement a GDS in relation to and accordance with the OneA&K philosophy to leverage worldwide synergies amongst the group
- Implement a GDS within Crystal Cruises to effectively be able to shop and sell air to guests wishing to book air with us, and for crew movements to and from our vessels.
- Develop, hire and train a team of air concierge support staff to support both passenger and crew movements.
- Maintain high levels of customer service related to air movements
- Establish airline contacts and relationships to serve the interests of Crystal and the A&K Group with favourable cancellation, ticketing, O&D one way faring, and corporate travel/seaman fares
- Establish ancillary technologies to facilitate the growth of the Crystal passenger movements and ease of guest and travel partner booking process (UI interface for self-booking capabilities)
- Establish and ensure ticketing timelines for most favourable cancellations
Skills and Abilities
- Experience in high density Air Programs Management.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- The ability to coordinate, set up, and manage a consumer show and trade show booth, including signage, table covering, decoration and collateral.
- Experience in Amadeus, Sabre, and or TravelPro is a plus
- The ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Education and Experience
- 5 – 10 years of experience in travel industry sales.
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- Extensive international destination knowledge, including Crystal destinations preferred.
- Existing travel industry sales relationships on a national level
- Demonstrated track record of sales success required with a leading luxury travel company.
