Director, Human Resources

Position Purpose:

The Director, Human Resources is responsible for the strategic and operational implementation of a broad range of HR services, policies, and programs. Oversees all aspects of the Human Resources Services functions which include but are not limited to recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, human resource information systems, payroll, and teammate records. Serves as an active liaison with UNC system level constituents and programs. Provides consultative support to Wayne UNC Health Care management concerning Human Resources issues. The Director ensures compliance with federal, state, local laws and the Joint Commission requirements as it relates to the areas of Human Resources.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Health Administration, Human Resources or related field required
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or Human Resources Strategy or related field preferred

Licensure/Certification/Professional Experience Requirements:

• Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) preferred
• Ten years of experience in Human Resources in a leadership role developing and managing human resource programs and five years human resources management required
• Experience in a large complex organization (preferably healthcare) with a progressively responsible role in HR
• Significant experience in organizational change and as a successful, proactive partner with senior leaders in a high growth organization
