Get to know the business
Our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) team is responsible for the overall asset allocation and portfolio management of General Account assets supporting Corebridge’s policyholder liabilities across various lines of business. In addition to managing the overall portfolio, the CIO team works with the core Life and Retirement business teams to develop the investment strategy to support their new business growth objectives. The CIO team is also responsible for articulating the overall investment strategy and risk positioning to key stakeholders such as BoD, regulators, and rating agencies.
About the role
The CIO team is seeking a Director of Insurance Portfolio Management to lead the investment/portfolio reporting efforts and to assist the CIO Team in supporting various investments initiatives across the core Life and Retirement business’ product lines. This role requires investment and accounting knowledge with leadership and project management experience while also comfortable stepping in to conduct analysis as required. Being able to manage multiple projects under time pressure is expected. The successful candidate will need to be able to present complex ideas/findings effectively to management and key stakeholders. In this role, you will:
- Lead reporting functions in various capacity such as senior management updates, regulatory and external reporting requirements, as well as ad hoc internal and external investments inquiries.
- Be required to manipulate large data sets and reconcile various heterogeneous sources of investments and portfolio information.
- Help lead the presentation design for the investment reports to the insurance management, fixed income fund, or a third-party asset manager. Ability to deliver high quality investment reporting on a multitude of portfolio characteristics.
- Partner and collaborate across asset management, finance, treasury, actuarial, and accounting teams on a continual basis to leverage and rationalize investment information.

What we are looking for
- Advance knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in Power Pivot/BI tools a plus.
- 5+ years of industry experience in financial institutions preferably with information technology or analytical background.
- MBA/CFA, or working toward is preferred.
