Job description

Oversees all marketing content initiatives to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behavior. These include marketing collateral, whitepapers, webinars, research, technical papers and product videos.

This individual is an expert in all things related to content – brand consistency, segmentation and localization, analytics and meaningful measurement

The position collaborates with public relations, communications, marketing/product, technology and human resources to help define both the brand story and the story as interpreted by the customer.


Major Activities to ensure achievement of key results and deliverables:

  • Mapping out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, including but not limited to marketing our products and services
  • Developing a functional content calendar
  • Writing and supervising writers – be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style
  • Working with product owners of to revise and measure content and marketing goals
  • Leveraging market data to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view and educate customers that lead to critical behavioral metrics
  • Establish a work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content
  • Ownership of our content hub, The Knowledge Center

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Skills at both long-form content creation and immediate content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
  • Clear articulation of the business goal ehind the cration of a piece (or series) of content
  • Leadership skills required to define and manage a set of goals involving diverse contributors and content types
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in Cable, Telecommunications or other video platforms
  • Comfortable with technology and technology-based solutions
  • Experience with creating compelling messges for different target audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field; MBA a plus


Key Results and Deliverables (What does success look like):

  • Positive brand recognition and consistency across chosen published channels
  • An increase in defined customer engagement metrics (meansured by users taking the desired action)
  • Website traffic growth (in particular to The Knowledge Center)
  • Increased press interest and outreach
  • Customer feedback
