We are seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to join our outstanding leadership team! This position has oversight of all aspects of finance functions in our organization. This position is offered at full time, 40 hours/week. Examples of responsibilities for this role are:

  • Directly manages a staff of four people. Provides support and decision making for billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management.
  • Annual budget development. Creates and presents monthly financials and variance reports.
  • Completes journal entries, account reconciliation and documentation required for record keeping and audit purposes.
  • Processes payroll tax, completes annual 990, prepares cost report and all compliance related matters for finance.
  • Works closely with our Board of Directors, bond holders and management company to monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and days cash on hand.
  • Works closely with directors and managers to review department financials, variance from budget and education to assist with financial performance at the department level.
  • Provides strategic and visionary planning and insight to serve the mission of the organization from the perspective of our financial performance.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in roles requiring progressive financial knowledge and acumen. Experience in skilled nursing, health care and non-profit organization is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple demanding priorities.
