Job description
As the Director-Benefits, this role will leverage expertise to create a competitive benefits strategy aligned with MHS values, to attract and retain top talent. Focusing on finding unique and creative ways to attract and retain employees as well as minimize costs to employees and to the organization while maximizing benefits and fostering strong relationships with our benefits brokers and stakeholders. This requires both analytical and creative, strategic and operational, as well as have strong written and spoken communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of our organization.
– Manages the Benefits team for the entirety of the Health System.
– Oversees staff providing direction and guidance and administering functions within the provisions of MultiCare policies and standards and federal, state and local regulations.
– Leads Benefits function by communicating expectations, setting attainable goals and holding staff accountable.
– Coordinates and conducts meetings and works to resolve Benefits issues.
– Consults and partners with stakeholders as a subject matter expert to resolve technical benefit issues and develop approaches to improving processes.
– Reviews work quality and output, sets priorities and turnaround times, resolving work problems and providing technical expertise to staff.
– Develops and administers team goals and objectives, establishes, and implements procedures to attain and maintain established goals and standards.
- Oversees the training, coaching, & development of team.
- Serves as an internal consultant, providing insights to leadership regarding best-practices in benefit plans and administration.
8 years of progressive experience within the Benefits and/or human resources role/function with increased responsibility
5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity, or comparable
Prior experience with Workday preferred, but not required
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 Years of Experience in Benefits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $201,000.00 per year
