Director of Catering Special Events (Golf Resort Club) North Houston

Our resort and club resort features refined yet upscale-relaxing service for our members. We have an excellent reputation for food and service. We only cater to our members - not the public.

This is an important position at The Golf Resort Club and reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.

As the members are the sole customer base, our goal is to build relationships with them and to provide for their event needs. Therefore, no sales goals are required.

Their needs might be weddings, family social gatherings at the club house or a private home that surrounds the golf course, golf tournaments, pool parties, board of director meetings, etc.

Job Essentials:

*Manage the catering and special events functions.

*Meet with brides, golf tournament organizers, family members, etc

*Coordinate tasting.

*Be visible during events to ensure service standards meet or exceed members expectations.

*Take initiative to solve member issues before they leave.

*Collaborate w/ the kitchen and service team to build bridges

*Providing great friendly service is our goal.

*Upselling and provide creative options for a more enjoyable event.

*Build relationship with key vendors.

*Awesome personality and knows how to have FUN and enjoy life!

Requirements:

*2-3 yrs+ in Catering Events as a DOC, Catering or Sales Event Manager at an upscale hotel, resort, catering venue or restaurant.

*Some wine knowledge

*Have fun with the team and members.

This is a bonus position and 90% of the health care cost is paid.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
