POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Programs is passionate about developing and implementing best practice standards for bereavement care in Metro Denver and beyond. With a balance of clinical expertise and program administration, the Director manages and oversees all aspects of in-house, community-based, and clinical training functions in line with legal, ethical, and organizational standards while addressing the practical and cultural needs of the community. Using strong critical thinking and communication skills, the Director of Clinical Programs applies experience and expertise in managing family-based therapeutic programming and ensures that Judi's House follows the Comprehensive Grief Care Model to support bereaved children and caregivers. A core member of the organization's Senior Leadership Team, the Director collaborates with the Chief Clinical Officer to strategically plan the direction and growth of clinical programming. The Director is responsible for the operational success of Judi's House's clinical programming by ensuring seamless team management, appropriate program development, quality service delivery, adequate revenue generation, balanced budget management, strategic community partnerships, and accurate stakeholder reporting. The Director is a thought partner for all the Judi's House/JAG Institute staff, improving collaboration, leading cross-functional teams, and facilitating understanding of clinical programming. The Director establishes and maintains a culture of learning within Judi's House/JAG Institute that encourages staff to ask questions, be creative, and collectively work toward achieving the full potential and impact of Judi's House/JAG Institute.

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
- Licensed Doctoral or Master's level mental health professional, registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in clinical supervision and therapeutic service delivery required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing, administrating, and developing mental health programming and professionals required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATIVE:
- Direct core Clinical Programs and related staff members, including community-based and in-house programs, grief care coordination, and clinical training.
- Guide Clinical Program Leadership in managing the daily operations, including the Assistant Director of Community-Based Care, the Assistant Director of In-House Care, and the Clinical Training Manager. This includes creating and managing departmental budgets, reporting, and planning.
- Facilitate regular meetings with Program Team Leadership to address workflow, personnel management, staffing needs, budgetary concerns, workplace policies/procedures, clinical concerns, program evaluation, legal/ethical, and systems issues. Focus on growth and development while ensuring that critical issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Collaboratively oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding/training, professional development, performance reviews, and termination.
- Work with staff to develop annual and ongoing objective performance measurements that ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all team members.
- Collaborate with staff to develop innovative programs and services.
- Co-create and implement cross-department policies, procedures, standards, and curricula for all clinical programs.
- Provide quarterly and annual reports on programming for key stakeholders (e.g., Board of Directors, Judi's House Staff, funders)
- Identify key community partners/collaborators and conduct strategic meetings to expand reach to new audiences and network partners.
- Collaborate with Development and Communications to cultivate new revenue streams and prepare reports for existing funders.
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of clinical programming by auditing adherence to the established curriculum and practice standards.
- Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal rules and regulations for mental health services.
CLINICAL SERVICE/TRAINING:
- Oversee all aspects of clinical programming, including groups, non-group therapy, assessments, clinical supervision, and crisis management.
- Support clinical service programming by providing regular consultation for crisis assessment and intervention to all program team members.
- Support clinical trainee and volunteer orientations as necessary.
- Participate in non-clinical client-facing activities (e.g., Memorial Event, Teen Photo Showcase, Hope for the Holidays, etc.).
EVALUATION AND RESEARCH:
- Work collaboratively with Evaluation and Research Team to cultivate an environment of learning and continuous program improvement by implementing various data collection practices.
- Model and uphold data collection and clinical documentation standards that ensure adherence to evaluation/research plan.
- Communicate and incorporate evaluation and research findings into program planning.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Report to Chief Clinical Officer, meeting regularly to address progress, growth, and challenges.
- Contribute to regular and ongoing organizational and departmental strategic planning to promote Judi's House vision that no child should be alone in grief.
- Participate in and attend Board of Directors meetings, fundraising events, and other community gatherings.
- Provide regular reports to the Senior Leadership Teams to ensure accurate program, research, and training information for grant development and reporting and other communication channels.
- Participate actively in Judi's House's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work related to Clinical Programming and overall organizational leadership.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Supervises Clinical Program Leadership, Grief Care Coordinators, and Program Coordinator.

Although some remote work is possible, this position is primarily onsite and in the community.
