Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana is seeking dynamic, self motivated professional to fill our Director of Development position in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Through human services programs, Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana helps nearly 10,000 people from 65 program locations in 16 communities across the region. We do so through programs that provide housing and assistance to veterans, mothers struggling with addiction, individuals returning from prison and families in need.

Position Summary:

The Indianapolis Director of Development will implement donor-centric strategies and initiatives designed to garner support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Coordinate and support all fundraising activities including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities. Prepare and submit funding proposals and identify new opportunities for growth. Plan and execute annual fundraising events and special donor cultivation events. Develop and maintain corporate, organization, and foundation relationships. Works closely with Executive Vice President of Development and Communication to support the organization's fundraising goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience and proven success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors, including face to face relationship building.
