What you will do every day!
The Director of Event Sales is responsible for coordinating catering sales by establishing markets, goals and advertising techniques in coordination with the property Director of Sales. This next leader will have the ability to drive profits while also managing pricing to maximize revenue. Your passion for developing relationships with your clients and guests will also ensure your success in this role. Your attention to detail when reviewing contracts will also be important. The Director of Event Sales will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. Your team will consist of several Event Sales Managers as well as a Sales Coordinator and Event Planning Manager/Convention Service Manager.
If your success has been driven in the past from roles like Senior Event Sales Manager this could be your next step in your career. This role is hands as you will have the opportunity to both book and service your events!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years catering leadership experience and team development
• Highly developed business communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems, Delphi helpful- but this is teachable!
• Goal driven sales/events leader with a passion for mentorship
• Creativity in designing events and menus in conjunction with the culinary department
• Ability to be self-directed
