Job Summary
The Director, Learning Enablement role is responsible for the quality design and delivery of strategic employee learning and development programs across the HealthTrust GPO, Supply Chain, and Support Services enterprise. HealthTrust Learning & Development efforts are focused on three key domains; onboarding, change management, and learning reinforcements with targeted goals and deliverables designed for each. The Senior Manager role drives execution on the annual Learning & Development Plan developed with leadership team based on annual strategic business priorities. The Senior Manager is a highly collaborative leader able to coordinate and influence efforts across corporate business teams, division and facility leadership, IT&S Learning Solutions, Human Resources, and Leadership & Organizational Development to execute employee learning and development programs to sustain employee engagement, performance excellence, and a highly engaged learning culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
DUTIES (included but not limited to) –
- Direct the strategy, design, development, implementation, and innovation of learning enablement across the HealthTrust GPO and Supply Chain enterpriseS
- Lead a high performing learning and development team to design, develop, and deliver operational learning for new and seasoned colleagues
- Own the design, navigation, and content on Supply Chain University (SCU) and respective colleges, courses and curricula published in the Learning Management System (HealthStream)
- Shape and sustain competency model framework used to serve as the foundation for new hire onboarding, operational learning and professional development programs
- Oversee and expand the Onboarding program to incorporate competency model function-specific content and trainings to improve the assimilation of new colleagues
- Partner with business leaders to conduct needs assessments and intake discovery meetings to scope new learning projects to propose learning interventions most impactful to learners and communicate progress/barriers through project lifecycle
- Develop implementation training plans and proposed assets, collateral, and content for change adoption and translate for new hire turnover training
- Manage multiple priority projects and deliverables with formal tool(s) and methods to keep team on track to meet project and annual goals
- Conduct routine audits of learning content, courses, and collaterals with business teams
- Liaison to the IT&S Learning Solutions systems training team on the approved annual systems training portfolio and rollout dates to consult on training approach, plan, format, and LMS attributes to share with business leaders and reprioritize as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES –
- Knowledge of learning and development strategies, principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong instructional design skills and deep knowledge of adult learning theory
- Ability to align complex supply chain operational workflows with competency development needs
- Exceptional project management skills, adept at managing multiple and/or changing priorities
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships across diverse roles
- Demonstrated ability to work well in an independent leadership role and within a team
- Possess strong analytical skills and incisive thinking
- Strong negotiation and change management skills
- Self-directed champion of quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning
- Demonstrated passion for employee learning and development
- Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Authoring Tools (Articulate, Captive, Camtasia, etc.) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) – HealthStream preferred
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Healthcare or business administration
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience and 3 years working in a corporate learning, organizational development, or training role.
- Experience leading a team of direct reports to meet diverse deliverables and business goals.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment.
- Adaptable and able to manage uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Experience in a “matrix reporting” environment preferred.
- Proven track record for meeting or exceeding business objectives and goals.
CERTIFICATE / LICENSE
- Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) desired
