Position Summary:

Responsible for managing, directing, and supervising all nursing services functions, activities, and staff in the delivery of quality care to patients of all Park DuValle Community Health Center sites. Develops, directs the implementation, and ensures compliance of standard of nursing practice that promotes optimum health care delivery.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the appropriate delegation of duties, supervision, and evaluation of the clinical staff as outlined by the State Board of Nursing and specific State regulations.
• Determine nursing staff needs for all sites via consultation with departments and administrative staff and assist in the recruitment, placement, evaluation, and performance management of nursing staff.
• Oversee and supervise the delivery of orientation, ongoing training & education to equip nursing staff with sufficient knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide compassionate and quality care for patients of PDCHC.
• Direct nursing services including the development, interpretation, and evaluation of new policies and procedures when necessary.
• Ensure the facility follows professionally set standards, including state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Plan, lead, and cooperate with Administration on nursing operations, budgets & special projects as requested.
• Research and improve nursing services through the development of programs for effective communication, staff coordination, and raising standards for patient care recording and reporting systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the infection prevention practices designed to prevent the transmission of disease and infection and to provide a safe environment for staff and patients.

Education & Experience:

APRN or B.S. in Nursing + Five (5) Years’ Experience in a Major Administrative Nursing Position OR M.S. in Nursing + Three(3) Years' Experience in a Major Administrative Nursing Position
