Summary of Position
Under the direction of the IOD Director, this position develops and manages the implementation of strategic and operational activities related to the Institute on Disability. This position will serve as a member of the IOD Management Team and collaborate with the Director on policy, procedural, and operations issues related to the day-to-day management of the organization. The Director of Operations will provide supervision to key operational roles in the IOD including communication, HR, and office management.

  • Master’s degree in Management, Marketing, or related field and five years of experience.
  • Experience leading the communications efforts for organization; public relations experience.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all faculty/staff.
  • Experience and understanding of grant writing and grant management.
  • Demonstrated experience and success as a leader and supervisor.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Marketing research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
