NCAA Division 1 Football experience.
Experience with NCAA compliance software is highly recommended. Background in collegiate coaching preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The athletics program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. This position will represent the athletics director in various capacities.
Duties typical of this class of employee include:

- Lead the development of the organization’s long and short-term recruiting strategies and make major decisions affecting recruiting
- Work closely with the head football coach and recruiting coordinator on all matters related to recruiting
- Supervise all daily operations of the organization, including on-campus recruiting, player personnel and creative departments for recruiting
- Coordinate & oversee football roster management strategies and procedures
- Coordinate monitoring process for NCAA transfer portal
- Coordinate & oversee high school summer football camps
- Liaison to compliance for recruiting-related topics
- Oversee all recruiting services
- Oversight of scouting & monitoring process for NCAA transfer portal
- Coordinate & oversee PSA identification process
- Coordinate & oversee PSA talent evaluation process
- Coordinate & oversee PSA background screening
- Coordinate & oversee monitoring process for news regarding PSA targets
- Coordinate & oversee recruiting-related coach travel (where we need to go and the overall plan)
- Coordinate head coach PSA film evaluations
- Coordinate & oversee assistant coach PSA film evaluations
- Coordinate PSA recruiting boards
- Coordinate & oversee PSA database
- Coordinate & oversee recruiting communication strategies and procedures (call & text plan, mailings)
- Oversee and monitor the recruiting budget
- Assist with on campus recruiting visits
- Coordinate & oversee recruiting compliance log submissions by coaches and staff
- Other duties as assigned.
