Job Description

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our team and take an active role in creating, implementing, and overseeing product marketing in the Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0/5.0 marketplace. The Director of Product Marketing’s role is to synthesize market, consumer, product, and competitive inputs driving the highest possible revenue for the business. This position requires working directly with Sales, Engineering and Product teams to develop product pricing, product strategy, and analysis, product positioning to target consumers, sales messaging development, competitive analysis, and product differentiation, among others. The role is deeply collaborative and incorporates some sales enablement activities, for example, the creation of sales tools, communication, and training.


The ideal candidate has excellent product marketing background, writing and oral communication skills, including a technical background to take complex technical ideas into sales enablement content and frameworks.


At Kelvin your main responsibilities will be:

  • Work directly with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure Kelvin’s products and services resonate with the target market and translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks
  • Create buyer personas and competitive intelligence by researching other solutions
  • Define and manage comprehensive GTM positioning and launch strategy
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and marketing trends
  • Work with the product team to develop the sales enablement content to support new messaging, product launches, and other marketing campaigns specifically tied to the product
  • Plan product launches for new products and releases and coordinate with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales to execute a successful launch
  • Conduct regular, in-depth competitive analysis to ensure the marketing and sales teams are aware of new developments to speak more credibly with prospects
  • Develop competitive positioning relative to the product/solutions that will help generate sales and accelerate the process

Qualifications

  • Deep background knowledge of product marketing and understanding of technical concepts, especially as it relates to industrial IoT and Industry 4.0
  • Effectively align with Sales, Product and Engineering to ensure a successful and integrated product launch, champion new product features, and enliven product solutions
  • Lead post-launch activities to ensure that the product constantly grows in the market; and that the product is continuously moving from awareness to adoption in new market segments
  • Build and implement a strategic plan to target consumers by developing sales messaging, competitive analysis, and product differentiation, among others
  • Develop various product marketing initiatives, including consumer case studies, product videos, website content, and much more
  • Establish product positioning and messaging and endeavor to understand the consumers’ needs and behaviors
  • Work with Product Management and Sales teams in the formulation of optimal pricing strategies, models, product education approach, product solution creation, and execution of competitive counter-tactics
