WHAT YOU’LL DO

In your role as a Director of Real Estate at Wingstop, you will be part of our success by:

Leading a team of Real Estate professionals to ensure we are aggressively pursuing and securing locations for future growth. This role is pivotal to our business as Wing Stop is one of the fastest growing brands in the world due to our best-in-class economics. In this role you will be accountable for meeting and surpassing site approval targets, reviewing leases, overseeing site selection, meeting sales ratios, and building strong relationships with our Brand Partners. In this position, you will work in tandem with our Senior Director of Construction to drive new restaurant openings in both the Traditional and Non-Traditional space. This role will also partner with our Operations, Finance, and Marketing Teams to ensure cross-functional awareness, and to provide visibility into the Real Estate pipeline. The Director of Real Estate will be accountable for leading this team to create market plans that meet the organizational near and long-term growth targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Site Selection
  • Overseeing the site selection process to ensure our team and the Brand Partners are securing locations that best position our restaurants to optimize sales
  • Aggressively driving site approvals to ensure the Wing Stop Real Estate pipeline is robust and positioned to support our growth targets
  • Provide market intelligence and insights on our brands’ competitors spread across restaurants
  • Continuous Improvement: putting processes in place to improve efficiencies and speed to market
  • Execution of our Market Planning “Playbooks” to drive smart and strategic growth
  • Oversee lease negotiations for all Corporate and Corporate Assisted Developments


Restaurant Openings
  • Reduce time between Site Approval and Lease Execution by providing support and oversight to our partners
  • Ensure lease requirements are in line with construction expectations to expedite buildout process
  • Accountability for new restaurant sales volumes
  • Meet or exceed annual new restaurant growth targets
Driving the Business
  • Alignment and Market Planning for both Real Estate and Brand Partner growth
  • Building relationships in the Brand Partner Community
  • Building/Leveraging relationships with national developers
  • Monitoring market trends, and opportunity real estate
  • Alignment with Wing Stop leadership around growth strategies, and creation of 3–5-year growth plan
  • The training and development of direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience leading highly productive real estate teams
  • 5+ years’ experience in franchise development
  • Ability to develop, analyze and negotiate leases and LOIs
  • Experience in site selection in the QSR industry (Corporate / Franchisee)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate at a high level across multiple functions
  • Experience in master planning markets
  • This position will work closely with Brand Partners, national developers, and internal leadership
  • Should show a strong understanding of the overall development process, from site investigation to open
  • Job requires travel time of approximately 20%
