Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of MBA Recruitment will develop and lead student-centered recruitment and communications strategies to attract and enroll graduate business students. The Assistant Director will identify potential partnerships and build successful pipelines of graduate students for the College of Business and Economics (COBE). The Assistant Director will manage the enrollment funnel for this target population and be responsible for moving individuals from inquiry status to enrolled students at Ashland University.
- Independently recruit students to all of AU’s on-campus, online and remote MBA and graduate business programs.
- Utilize Technolution’s Slate to maintain accurate electronic records of interactions, build electronic communications, and leverage data in the recruitment process.
- Foster relationships with support offices, academic colleges, and departments across campus.
- Partner with offices including Corporate Connections, Institutional Advancement, and the Alumni Office to engage audiences potentially interested in the MBA and graduate business programs.
- Support and participate in all admissions recruitment events, outreach strategies and other related initiatives as appropriate.
- Participate in the setting of the MBA and graduate business program recruitment goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with peers in the Division of EMM and across campus to participate in the exchange of ideas, information, and philosophies through professional development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive communication plan for the MBA and graduate business programs to encourage inquiries, applications, and enrollment. Serve as liaison for information about Ashland University’s graduate business programs, policies, and procedures.
- Create and maintain weekly enrollment funnel reports for the Executive Director and other campus leadership as requested.
- Serve as a main contact point for internal and external constituencies regarding MBA and graduate business programs communications, digital marketing, and recruitment strategies.
- Understand the institution’s interpretation of FERPA rules for the release of student information to faculty, parents, students, etc.
- Provide support for course selection and registration as needed during peak registration times.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in MBA and graduate education.
- Serve on various institutional committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years experience in a higher education setting
Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills; Experience utilizing CRM and ERP services
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Demonstrated organizational ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others and in teams
- Proven ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work with complex systems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Flexible, patient, creative
- Skills in problem solving
- Desire to work in an upbeat, creative, and exciting environment that is constantly striving to provide better service and support
- Ability to travel off-campus
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in business administration or Higher Education preferred
- Three (3) years of college recruitment experience
- Experienced with customer relations management systems – Slate CRM
